2009 Annual Report to Members
Dear Members,
Well the clubs second aniversary has passed and we are still here...who said it wouldnt last?
As of todays date we are we have around 120 members and are growing steadily with members spread from Sydney all the way past Ulladulla.
On the ride front Its been a busy year with Vice President Scott Corson reporting that he has personally ridden over 8000 klm on club related rides.
Even though Scott has put in so many kilometers its clear that we are not getting a great turnout on rides so we have decided to introduce a regular Sunday Mystery ride into our ride calender. So on the second Sunday of every month if you are interested in riding with other members please meet at Macdonalds Fairy Meadow at 9am for a 9.30 start. Anticipate a ride of at least two hours wheer you can meet and ride with other interested members.
Three of our regular longer rides will be back again this year. The Ivan the Terrible Tour, Bombala Snowy Mountains Ride and the Running of the Bevels will be on again this year so check out the whats on section for details.
We still need to look at ways of getting more members involved in club related activites and rides more regularly so please send your feedback through to Scott or I.
Unfortunately not many of us have the luxury of spare time these days with work and family pressures all taking a slice of valuable Ducati time so even if you cant make it to rides its important for the future growth and longevity of the club to stay connected.
Why not jump on the Club Forum which is accessible through the club website at www..scdoc.org.au or even volunteer to help the committee with various positions?
Financially the Club is in a solid position with reasonable cash reserves after expenditure.
Our aim on the finance side is to continue to keep membership costs down by using technology as much as possible so the website will remain nthe principal point point of contact.
Ive also volunteered to take on the web master role in addition the Presidents position and will do my best to keep things up to date and fresh. So if you have something interesting to post to the site please let me know
.
Once again I would like to thank all of those people who have helped out through the year including all the committee members and others for giving up their personal time for the benefit of their fellow Ducati riders.
As always I would be interested to hear any feedback from you on ways we can improve the club or any other SCDOC related matter. I am all ears and while I cant promise I can solve all your concerns there may be something I can do to make your SCDOC membership experience more useful and enjoyable.
Safe riding in 2010 and see you at one of the rides.
